Building With Purpose

We believe sustainability should be integrated into the design and construction process from the beginning, rather than treated as an afterthought.

Where appropriate, we consider factors such as passive solar design, site orientation, natural ventilation, thermal performance, material selection, energy efficiency, water use and long-term durability.

We work with clients to find the right balance between environmental performance, aesthetics, functionality and budget.

Depending on the project, this may include materials and construction methods such as hempcrete, rammed earth, straw bale, stone, sustainably sourced timber, natural renders and low-toxicity finishes.

We can also explore alternative heating and cooling systems, off-grid solutions, waste treatment, product life-cycle considerations and other approaches to creating a more sustainable home.

Design & Building

Custom Design & Building

Every site and every client is different.

We build one-off custom homes designed around the way our clients want to live, rather than working from a standardised model or predetermined approach.

We work with a range of architects, building designers and consultants, as well as offering in-house design services where appropriate

We undertake architecturally considered renovations, extensions and additions, working with existing structures and materials while improving functionality, comfort, energy performance and connection to the landscape.

We can assist with projects ranging from carefully executed smaller renovations through to substantial alterations and additions.

Whether you’re looking for a contemporary architectural home, a natural-materials dwelling, a highly energy-efficient house or a more modest custom build, we can work with you to develop a solution that reflects your site, lifestyle and budget.

Working with Designers & Architects

We value working alongside architects and designers who are looking for a builder who understands the intent behind their work.

Our experience with custom construction, complex details, alternative materials and sustainable building methods allows us to work collaboratively throughout the construction process, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, communication and buildability.

We welcome opportunities to work with architects and designers on projects throughout Victoria and Tasmania.

Where We Build

Creations in Parallel works across South West Victoria and the Grampians, including the surrounding regional areas, as well as the Surf Coast, Great Ocean Road, Geelong and Melbourne.

We are also branching out into projects throughout Tasmania, particularly custom residential, architectural and sustainable building projects where our approach and expertise are a good fit.

For projects outside these areas, we are happy to discuss the possibilities.
