We believe sustainability should be integrated into the design and construction process from the beginning, rather than treated as an afterthought.

Where appropriate, we consider factors such as passive solar design, site orientation, natural ventilation, thermal performance, material selection, energy efficiency, water use and long-term durability.

We work with clients to find the right balance between environmental performance, aesthetics, functionality and budget.

Depending on the project, this may include materials and construction methods such as hempcrete, rammed earth, straw bale, stone, sustainably sourced timber, natural renders and low-toxicity finishes.

We can also explore alternative heating and cooling systems, off-grid solutions, waste treatment, product life-cycle considerations and other approaches to creating a more sustainable home.
